NIGHT RACE THE MOTION PICTURE

NIGHT RACE is the story of a man devastated by the murder of his wife and son. who is overcome with grief and thinks only of revenge, almost to the point of insanity. The character, Isaiah Moses (Oscar Ray) leaves his job as a professor of history at Morehouse University and begins to track the killer of his family.What he initially finds isn't the killer, but body after body, all killed in the same manner as his wife and son. Arriving at the crime scene sometimes minutes and even hours before local police,he has now become their prime suspect and is wanted for questioning by the FBI. Finally arriving in the small town of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Moses feels he knows what the killer is after and arrives ahead of the killer to hopefully prevent the murder of a woman (K. Elizabeth Jones) and her ten year old daughter (Krystal Easter). A plan to trap the killer is scrapped when Moses learns that the intended victim is the towns' most successful Assistant District Attorney and the OSBI (Darla Enslow) and FBI (Lawrence Scott) have arrived in town looking for him. Even though he thwarts the killers' first attempt, he has now learned that the killer is something more than human and that his victims aren't random targets.

Darkwood Production Companies, Inc. have launched several companies to meet the rising demand for motion picture production, original musical soundtracks featuring local talent and book publishing to turn screenplays into novels and novelettes.The Night Race Trilogy tells the complete story of Isaiah Moses and how his family was targeted for extinction by a 5,000 year old man-god 'Rahotep'. Get to understand why Moses has spent seven years tracking the man he feels is responsible for the death of his wife and son and the deaths of his entire bloodline to the 7th degree.
The Music on the Night Race Soundtrack blends country ballads with rhythm and blues with contemporary pop performed by local artists and written by writer, director and producer Oscar Ray.The Independent movie Night Race cast over 100 men, women and children to give this picture the look of one that cost more than a million dollars. Real locations in the friendly town of Muskogee also gave Night Race a 'big-budget' look.Darkwood is now in production on its second feature film 'The Betrayers', to also be filmed in Northeastern Oklahoma this spring. Casting is almost complete and production is due to start in March, 1999.

BARE BONES INDEPENDENT FILM PRODUCTION

From the spacious studios and backlots afforded to Darkwood Motion Pictures and Productions in historic downtown Muskogee, Oklahoma, Darkwood founders, Oscar and Shiron Ray are in constant dialogue with Hollywood and New York producers who are considering coming to Oklahoma to make their next movie. Currently in development is a western drama written by a man in Nashville, Tennessee. The movie setting is Muskogee and Okmulgee around 1895. The cast will reflect the racially mixed citizenry that was once the norm in Oklahoma.
